Turnigy 9xr Pro telemetry issues PLEASE HELP

VEGAFOXXVEGAFOXX Tampa FLClub Members Posts: 15
I am Having trouble setting up telemetry (just battery voltage) on my 9XR pro. I have the Frsky DJT, Frsky D4R-II, Frsky battery voltage sensor, and the Frsky telemetry & headtrack extent cable for 9XR Pro. On the 9XR pro I get TX and RX readings but no voltage or anything else. What am I doing wrong?

    218 to 212? That is a downgrade.

What voltage sensor are you using?

oooooer! I got all arse about face!

However, how have you connected the sensor to the receiver VEGAFOXX?

yes I do. I have the sensor battery side to the power board, and the other side hooked up to the Gnd and AD2 on the D4R-II. I also have the frsky telemetry extent cable from the DJT to the futaba port on the 9xr pro.

    Is the transmitter configured correctly?

In the Telemetry section, make sure these are set:

    UsrProto: FrHub

    RSSI Warn: 45 ON

    RSSI Critical: 42 ON

    Rx Voltage: 13.2v

    BT Telemetry: OFF

FrSky Com Port: 2 This is important, according to the schematics, the Futaba port on the remote is COM2

    COM2 Funct.: Telemetry

    COM2 Baudrate: 57000

If no joy still, can you post some pics of your setup?

Did you happen to read the last thing WTWUK said?

"If no joy still, can you post some pics of your setup?"

No point whatsoever posting that "I have all that set. Still doesn't work."

Post the pics he asked for so he can give it a look over and he'll probably spot it right away.

Try it without the Ground (black) wire. Might be a ground loop somewhere.

I have a 9X-R Pro and Voltage sensor here - will fit it up tomorrow sometime and see what results I get.

OK I will try that when I get home from work later tonight. Thanks

If I did the binding before I had the voltage sensor installed would that cause a problem? Do I have to bind the radio and the d4r-ii again?

Telemetry additions will not effect binding - so long as the binding was for two-way with module switches set accordingly.

I have just started using the FrSky X-Series receivers with built in flight-pack voltage monitoring. Bit scary at first when you see the voltage sag of a 1700mAh 2S LiFe battery under load with 6 standard servos working away doing their thingy. Pays to turn the RXv alarms off and just use the readout or the lady inside the TX is telling you your receiver voltage is low every time you give the ailerons a workout.

In the past ignorance was bliss with four or five flights in a morning with only a small overall drop in pack voltage for the morning session. image
