Any so long as it is a maximum of 10.0V - if using an ESC with a BEC you might not even need a battery.

However, it would be helpful if you gave a clue as to what the receiver is being used for. You would have got a better answer. Help us to help you!

I will put in a kit build - .46 size Mustang 4 channels + electric retracts, so 5 channel

Keep going ... High Voltage or normal voltage servos?

Still several options to decide upon ...

    Normal voltage servos

    Righty. Couple of options.

Assuming the motor is a nitro/glow(?) then you can either use a NiHm 6V pack or a 2S LiPo/LiFePO4 pack in conjunction with a BEC to drop their charged voltage to 5 or 6V.

If your motor is electric, then the ESC used to control it will have an inbuilt BEC ready to go.

It is a Glow so I will go with NiHm 6V and save need for a BEC

Thanks for your help - much appreciated.

Check your servos etc. can handle 6V though. A lot of servos run at 4.8 and 5V and are not happy with 6V.
