Hi chaps deans connectors are getting more popular. I use EC mostly. what size wattage soldering iron do you need to join them to wire / cable.
Deans T connectors are not getting more popular, in fact they have been on the decline for years now in preference to the far superior XT series - 30, 60 and 90.
As a general rule, higher wattage irons are better for soldering as the heat transfer is faster and they hold stable temperature. So get the highest you can afford, particularly if it can adjust temperature.
