I need a replacement motor for a Pheonix 1600.The outrunner fitted is a A2212/10T 1400kv using 2 cell lipo.Would prefer to keep the aircraft on 2 cells if at all possible.

    Hi iansydbr1

The Phoenix 1600mm plane can take up to 28mm motor, so this one will be a great alternative for it: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2822-17-brushless-outrunner-1100kv.html

Works great with a 2s paired with the stock prop. All the best!

    Cheers.

Bit concerned the kv rating is a bit low

Lower kv may have slightly lower speed, but it has more power. And the change in speed is hardly noticeable during flight. And also, the PNF version of the Phoenix 1600 (with a motor) uses a similar motor, so it's totally fine to use.

    Cheers.

Just checked out that motor and the shaft would have to be swapped around plus they’re out of stock in Aus.Appreciate your advice.
