Looking up the Turnigy gimbal, and its on back order (surprise), but the comments show people using a taranis gimbal instead. Apparently its a 'direct fit'. So I ordered 2 of these:http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__52179__FrSKY_Replacement_Gimbal_for_Taranis_Transmitter.html
First impression - they are physically bigger. So I trimmed the corners and it fitted into the 9xr housing. The plug is completely different, but I just took the pins out and fitted them into the original plug.
So its all together, and I switch on - throttle high warning which I expected.
Try to calibrate and the icon is all over the place. Its clearly not reading the signals from the Taranis gimbal at all.
Yet people post comments saying they have done this and it works? Anyone got any ideas?
