Tricopter pitch up

RCDARTRCDART Club Members Posts: 2
Can anyone suggest why my tricopter pitches nose up violently when high power is applied?

Seems to hover and fly ok at lower power settings, I thought it was tail heavy, moved battery forward and got it to balance, no different.

When you give it small sharp blips of power it starts to nose forward then levels, but at full power it noses up vertical becomes un controllable and crashes. Board is a KK2

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is the CG now right in the center of your tricopter and what are the lengths of your 3 tricopter arms?jstremmler2016-07-16 15:23:20

Yes CG in the centre, I would have to go measure the arms not sure but they are all the same, it is the rotor bits kit.

Ok, next level your Tri exactly with a water level bubble and do the ACC calibration again.

If it still shows this behavior then set the ACC-Trim Pitch values in the KK2.1 board to negative !! values. Increment in steps of 5.
