Voltage help please

I am building my first quad.

Using....

CC3D

Turnigy TGY-i6 transmitter and TGY-iA6 Receiver.

MultiStar 1400mAh 11.1v battery.

The TGY-iA6 receiver that connects to the controller requires 4-6.5v. How do I do this? Do I need another battery? or a voltage reducer?

PLEASE HELP ME..... I am such a noob but this is the last problem i am having.(I hope).

Thank you.

The receiver gets its power from one of the ESCs. That's what regulates the voltage

So my ESC's have 3 wires coming from the motors. Then 4 wires on the other side. 1 red, 1 black, and 2 that connect to the CC3D. I assume I solder the Reciver power to the 2 that connect to the CC3D, right?

again i am a noob. so please go easy on me if this is all wrong.

Nevermind. that didn't work. but neither did the other side. so maybe soldering to the ESC isn't right.

I think I know the problem.

the servo connectors from the ESC to the CC3D only have 2 wires.

I read that one should have 3.

    But none of them do.

How can I fix this? Or did I order the wrong ESC's?

But I was able to complete the motor speed set up.

You have what are known as 'OPTO' ESC's and they are fine.

What you need is a Battery Elimination Circuit - LIKE THIS or similar that you use to power the system.

As it is, you will only get power to it via USB when connected to your computer.

WTWUK - Thank you for the link.

So I will run this from my power distribution board straight to the receiver B/VCC plug?

    Yup. Correct.
