Bixler 2 will not climb

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had similar problems with the Bixler 2?

The plane with will just not climb.

I am not using any flaps and the battery is a 3 cell 2200.

I have tried the CG at different points but it does not help.

I am suspecting maybe the motor is not giving enough power although it seems to be powerful.

I have already been through one wing kit and have hurt the new wing and it still will not fly.

I have experience flying both nitro and gas models in the past.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,Wayne

Prop is probably on back to front. If you are trying to fly it nose first then the prop needs to be driving it that way as well. image

If that checks out ok then you might have to tell the ESC where full and low throttle is on your TX.

Connect power to ESC while throttle is at max. As soon as you hear the first beeb close the throttle and ESC should then go through the normal arming process.

If that has not been done then you might not be getting full power.Sooty2015-02-07 14:20:34

Also check for a secure grip on the prop shaft by the collet. Sometimes the collet will slip under load, ie., takeoff. Take off and climb rapidly. Then land and feel the collet. If it is hot it is slipping.

Hopefully the OP got his Bixler to climb before now, as three years have passed since he posted.

But - a useful post IF the thing could climb ...
