How to bind a Spektrum receiver to FRSky Taranis X9D+ with R9M module?

Stefan ReichlStefan Reichl Club Members Posts: 5

Hi there,
as I own Dpektrum receivers too, I want to bind them to my X9D.
Internal module off, external to DSM? -> DSMX.
But how to bind?

regards
Stefan

You cannot. You need a DSM2/DSMX module in the rear bay, or a hack unit from an old Spektrum DSM transmitter.

The external>dsm>dsmx etc. is for the 'hack' module, not for any other.

    The R9M Module supports DSM2/DSMX
So I choosed DSMX as modus.

The R9M is ACCST - can you post a link to where it shows it is DSM2/X capable?

    I can choose following modes:
    PPM
    XJT (D16, D8, LR12)
    DSM? (LP45, DSM2/DSMX)
    CRSF
    R9M
    SBUS

That is not a setting for the R9M module - that is for the rarely used hack module that was assembled using components from an old Spektrum transmitter years ago.

The R9M module is totally incompatible to DSM2 and DSMX as it does not use 2.4GHz radio frequency. It will never be able to bind with anything Spektrum DSM2, DSMX and compatibles like orangeRX and LemonRX etc.
