How long can you store UN-used LIPOs?

Hi,

I have about 10 yellow zippy ("dumb") batteries 3S 2200Mah 25C that are completely unused and have been sitting for about 3 - 4 years on my shelf, out of the sun, but room temp is about 75 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit on a day to day basis.

Are they still good for flying?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Steve

If they are not puffed, give them a few gentle balance charge/discharge cycles, then try one.

Ihave 'new' Zippys over 6yr old now that are still fine. Unlike the younger 'new' Nanotechs that puffed like hot air balloons in less than two years, having been stored in the same conditions as the Zippys!
