This is to anyone at Hobby King: what is going on with ASP engines?????? are they out of business
or just out of product. I have been trying to get a replacement for the muffler section of my ASP 108
and everywhere it has been saying OUT OF STOCK, and this is the same on the Hobby King site. Can
someone please tell US what is going on so we can make arrangements on our engines--------- thanks Merlin

Yes. Officially they are no longer in production. Great shame, as their H52R is a beauty!!

They are not currently in production, yes but that's not the whole truth though. There is an announcement regarding ASP engines and parts in another site that reads:
"You may notice some of the ASP engines are out of stock, ASP engines are currently relocating their factory and certain sizes are unavailable until production resumes. We hope to have a full compliment of available engines later in the spring."

Anyone heard anything more about the supposed spring factory restart as it's now summer and still no formal announcement. In the mean time,Evolution engines has also joined the ranks of discontinued engine lines as well. The RC industry is slowly bleeding out I'm afraid and when a major supplier like Sanye shuts down all production despite practically monopolizing the small RC engine market place,it leaves me truly scratching my head. Now there is only one expensive option left and that is O.S engines.Unfornately, you won't sell enough of those at the much higher price points to keep enough interest and affordability in the hobby alive.Money talks when all is said and done.Cheap affordable Chinese brushless motors got more people started in electric RC flight than the original ,expensive AXI brushless motors ever did.Few could afford them. The same can be said for glow/igiton engines as well.Just my opinion.
