I actually opened this thread very excited hoping to see hall sensor gimbals only to see the complete radio discontinued. Very sad to read this. 9XR Pro is such a nice product.
Thats a nasty end for this radio, especially when a lot more could have been done. What's the reason for discontinuing such a nice radio and its spare parts? There should be spare parts available, because there's a high demand. I don't think that its the best decision to just abandon a product like that. Hobbyking has to reconsider this, even though there's no intention to keep producing it, the spare parts have to be available. As an example, due to the constant lack of spare gimbals, i had to purchase a different one and adapt it to fit properly. That's not the way to go. Im sure that a lot of people out there agree with me. Other thing is: you keep selling the Turnigy 9x, you now even have lots of spare parts for it, but you plan to kill one of your best creations.
And when u found your servo, now the misery begins to find the right spline size servo arm!!! 25T is nice but the size of the spline isnt mentioned anywhere. HK dont even sell the right arms for the 25T mini splines.
I have bought like 3 different 25T alu arms that doesnt fit the spline, despite the recommendation of the "specialists" !
I wish KATY here could get this sorted and get some arms in the portfolio that will fit the mini splines!!!
Thanks for the query, I am looking into it.
Do you have some examples of servos with 25T mini spline?
Always amazes me folks moan about shipping costs at HobbyKing (and yes, they are absolutely ridiculously expensive at times due to totally incorrect shipping weight/size entries in their website backend stock listings) when they already know there are way cheaper places out there!! Go get ya toys from them!!!
Gone are the days when HK were the number one go to shop for possibly 99% of RC things. Well and truly gone, and others have taken up the mantle and continue to grow.
HK are going backwards!!
It is because they are fully paid-up members of the GOMS. Grumpy Old Men's Society.
It really is an oddity that they do not liase with a lot of companies that, in their own way, promote modelling far more than those bodies do.
i have had massive inconsistancies-very poor product esp with 1kg black,i no longer trust curasun pla
Deans T connectors are not getting more popular, in fact they have been on the decline for years now in preference to the far superior XT series - 30, 60 and 90.
As a general rule, higher wattage irons are better for soldering as the heat transfer is faster and they hold stable temperature. So get the highest you can afford, particularly if it can adjust temperature.
I found, with the help of HK support.
the type of LIxx, depends on what is set in the "user set-program" options.
changing the "Type voltage value" changes the LIxx type.
Is so simle !
And it what I have not understood.....
I have now purchased the P2000 V2 from BG. It is a real improvement, I won't bother buying replacement wings for the original.
HK is losing out, in my view, not stocking the V2. I wonder what their issue is?????
